  18. to pay more for a high-calorie, butterfat-rich ice cream with
  19. a made-up, foreign-sounding name. Having parlayed the once modest,
  20. horse-drawn family business into a multimillion-dollar success,
  21. he sold it to Pillsbury Co. in 1983.
